Land Representative I/II
RES is currently accepting applications for the position of Land Representative, based out of our Milwaukee, WI.
The mission: This is a key position for our project development team, since the Land Rep will be developing relationships with prospective landowners and community business leaders, thus securing property rights and enabling project realization. It involves interaction with many of the RES functions, including sales, regulatory, and field operations teams, analysts, and in-house counsel. You will also talk to outside counsel and Real Estate Broker and Agents. You will be working in a team that solves problems collaboratively and supports your needs.
What your day-to-day might look like?
You will spend around 80% of your time negotiating with the land owners. While some of this work can be done from the office setting, around 50% of yoru time you will be visiting the landowners on their land, including over-night stays.
Around 10% of your time will be dedicated to pre-acquisition and negotiation processes, including purchase and sales agreements and mitigation project agreements. You will also assist in due diligence items including survey and title and assist in the preparation and organization of closing documents. Some assistance will be required for the development of projects in the proposal process for projects in different phases.
Around 10% of your time, you will be doing analytical work - analyzing property data and land records for the suitability of restoration sites, running numbers associated with the acquisition of new land assets, working with management to prepare and maintain monthly cash flow statements, and assisting in creating preliminary project budgets.

- BA/BS in Real Estate, Land Management, Agriculture, or Ecology
- 2 or more years of experience in land acquisition, real estate brokerage, land management OR sales
- Acceptable driving record
- ArcGIS experience
- Passion for environmental stewardship and conservation
