POSITION TITLE: Staff Scientist- Xiaohua Wu lab
 
POSITION SUMMERY:
The candidate will conduct research to investigate the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break (DSB) repair in mammalian cells, addressing both the fundamental questions of DNA repair and its translational potential for targeted cancer therapy. The projects will take multidisciplinary approaches combining EGFP-based reporter systems, cell-based assays and state-of-the-art technology in genome-wide analysis to elucidate the principles of DNA repair process.
 
DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES:
  • Lead independent research programs to achieve our research goals.
  • Support grant applications and publish high-quality research papers.
  • Supervise students on research projects.
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • Ph.D. and minimum of 2 years postdoctoral experience. 
  • 3+-year postdoctoral experience and a strong publication record is highly preferred.
  • We look for a highly motivated, creative and hard-working individual with expertise in genome-wide study preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position works in a laboratory or vivarium environment. Further details of the physical requirements of established essential functions for this position will be addressed/discussed during the interview process.
 
COMPENSATION: Salary is commensurate with experience.
