Program Management Internship, Spring 2023 (Greenville, SC)

This position is a cross functional position for assisting the program management department activities related to development and launch of battery and corresponding vehicle integration activities for Proterra’s external customers. This position will require communication and relationship building with cross functional teams to help drive deliverables for the successful launches at Proterra’s customer sites. As a program management intern, you’ll participate in meetings, collaborate with cross functional teams, identify the root cause of failures, track project milestones and ensure proper program closure.

About the Role – You will:
  • Assist Program Managers with contacting internal teams and aligning teams on program milestones and deliverables.
  • Assist in updating program documentation. Updating program dashboards with current milestones, deliverables and changes.
  • Following up with program team members for their updates to the various program action logs or risks lists prior to the upcoming team meetings.
  • Retrieving information and slides from the wider department team members for customer presentations that the Program Manager is creating.
  • Organize and schedule team meetings
  • Document resource needs and availability for each project.
  • Verifying evidence is available for gate reviews (PMR) checklist items.
 
 
Your Experience Includes:
  • Major: Any Technical Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Management (or other related fields)
  • Classes: Team Building, Leadership or Organizational Management
  • Class project that lead any aspects of a project that required teamwork and strategically thinking.
  • Experience in negotiations and finding solutions.
  • Proven record of continued growth in professional skills and responsibilities
  • Proficient in creating and managing schedules and adapting to latest software tools.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Self-Directed: Must be able to complete projects with limited supervision. Ability to take ownership and ask for help when needed.
  • Collaborative: Use strong interpersonal skills to actively listen and communicate in ways that foster trust and show flexibility. Easily adapt to varied roles on teams from follower to leader. Change approach or method to best fit the situation.
