Proterra Powered Quality Internship, Spring 2023 (Burlingame, CA)
Proterra is looking to welcome a Full-Time intern for the Spring Semester to support our Quality teams in our Burlingame, CA facility. You will learn and gain practical experience in a hands-on environment while providing support to client groups at the site and will be in an environment where you can have a greater impact and earn a competitive salary during the program.
About the Role – You will:
- Gain practical experience in a hands-on environment.
- Work on projects and programs currently in progress at Proterra, which allows interns to apply knowledge that contributes to the overall business.
- Assist with streamlining quality gate data collection and analysis.
- Revise incoming, in-process final inspection and field issue data reporting and analysis
- Assist with improving production quality, process quality performance and scrap reduction to improve cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate with internal customers in areas of assigned responsibility.
- Have opportunities to propose new ideas or improvement concepts.
- Work with a mentor that will support and be a resource for you during your internship assignment.

- This position will be part of the Proterra Powered Quality team that supports quality improvements to ensure cost efficiencies across our organization.
- You will report to the Quality Director and may collaborate with other team members across our manufacturing facilities in Burlingame, CA, Los Angeles, CA and Greenville, SC.

Your Experience Includes:
- Enrollment in a Bachelors program for the Spring 2023 semester in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering or other engineering/ technical discipline.
- Must have completed your sophomore year or later in your current program and having coursework in statistics, math, electrical engineering, material science, chemistry or mechanical engineering.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Apply the theory from college/university course work to real world scenarios / situations.
You might also have:
- Experience with previous internships
- Strong inter-personal/ Quantitative skills
- Understanding of problem-solving steps and processes to apply in a real-world situation.
