Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer – Hastings, Michigan

As an Electrical Engineer, you will provide electrical expertise to the product development process.

What you will get to do:
  • Partner with a cross-functional team, providing electrical knowledge on a variety of large and small scope tools
  • Assist throughout the product design cycle (concept, prototyping, layout, beta testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and release) for new and modified products
  • Learn and understand operation and technical details of products
  • Research and cross-reference electrical components
  • Assist in the investigation and analysis of new materials and engineering practices
  • Design and conduct tests of completed equipment and components under operational conditions to investigate product performance, to obtain data for standardization, and quality control
  • Interface with suppliers and customers to answer technical questions
  • Be able to understand and anticipate customer needs – recognize the “unasked” question

What will make you successful:
  • Electrical experience in manufacturing or the utility industry specifically with high voltage or grounding experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineer preferably with a high voltage power emphasis
  • Technical skills and understanding of the principles of electrical power, including but not limited to grounding power lines
  • Teamwork mindset with the ability to give direction when it’s an area of expertise
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative
  • A mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD software and experience with Mastercam software is helpful
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and technical writing skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage workflow
  • Versatility and flexibility; exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Membership in professional organizations (IEEE, ASTM, IEC) preferred
  • Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations
