Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking a motivated, independent, and hardworking individual for an opening as a Full Time Security Officer.


The responsibilities would include:
-Guarding Laboratory property against fire, theft, and vandalism
-Providing emergency assistance to laboratory staff and visitors
-Acting as a representative of the laboratory’s administration outside of normal working hours
-Maintaining a daily log of all activities and preparing incident reports to be turned in to the Security Supervisor
-Carry out other tasks as assigned to them by the Director of Security and the Assistant Director of Security

Position Requirements
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience: 2 years in a Security role or ex-law enforcement

Tour Available: Tuesday- Saturday from 4pm-12pm

Requirements:

-Valid Driver’s License

-Licensed Security Guard by NYS

-Certified in First Aid and CPR by American Red Cross
