Job Summary:
Electrical Engineer works seamlessly with a multi-disciplined team of engineers and technologists on projects involving cased-hole logging tools and sensors. The passion to excel, with the ability to organize and complete projects in a timely manner and collaborate closely with the extended team, is an essential part of the role.

Responsibilities and duties:
· Design and development of downhole oil and gas logging tools
· Design circuits for power conversion, sensor interfacing, data acquisition, and control systems
· Design and work with DSP, microcontroller, and FPGA programming for downhole applications: communications, control, sensor interface, high speed data acquisition, telemetry, etc.
· Simulate and develop algorithms and software for processing and displaying of data.
· Support engineering new product development, sustaining, and manufacturing with new designs and continuous improvements, technical documentation, and troubleshooting
· Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering team members, customer support, manufacturing, and sales to define products, provide technical support, peer review, and improve our internal processes and customer experience
· Write engineering design documents, test reports, and manufacturing procedures.
· Perform qualification testing of components, circuits, and tools for operation in harsh environmental conditions
· Project management responsibilities with system level design and cross functional leadership when assigned
Qualification Standards:
· Strong influencing skills, must be able to lead interdisciplinary teams (engineering, marketing, sales, manufacturing, quality, etc.)
· Excellent technical written and verbal presentation and communications skills
Experience:
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required. Master of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred
· Programming experiences: Verilog or VHDL, C, C++, C#, others (MATLAB, LabVIEW, etc.) preferred
· An understanding of analog and digital electronics concepts: circuits, sampling theories, signal processing, feedback control, logic design, microcontrollers, communication protocols, etc. preferred
· Demonstrated ability to organize and complete development assignments in a timely manner
