Forest Service is hiring Wildland Fire Pilots!

The Forest Service is hiring qualified pilots to help combat wildland fires, a critical job that protects our communities and preserves our wilderness areas for future generations to enjoy. The Forest Service uses a variety of aircrafts including helicopters, large Airtankers, and Sea Planes. This position offers paid training, travel, overtime, and a sign on bonus in addition to general Forest Service benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401k.
The following positions will be open on usajobs.gov/Airplane Pilot Sept. 19th, 2022 – July 5th 2023 as an open continuous registry (OCR) position. To be considered for September 2022 priority applications are due Sept. 29th 2022.
Airplane Pilot
- Pilots with be hired into GS-2181-9 thru 12 positions. Must be under the age of 40 at the time of application. Applications are only accepted through usajobs.gov/Airplane Pilot. Review the job announcement carefully for qualifications, requirements, and required information to include in your application. Employment start dates varies.
