You will be working on a team that is building a cloud-based development environment. You will work with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of hardware, software engineers, and security specialists to design and implement a secure cloud-based software development and maintenance environment. You will be part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company. ARA is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences, and you will be on this team.
Senior Cloud Engineer Required Experience & Skills:
• Active Secret Clearance
• BS or higher in computer science, engineering, applied mathematics, or a related technical field along with 8+ years of relevant work experience. Equivalent professional experience (at least 14 years) will be considered for talented candidates without a degree
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Ability to break down larger goals into manageable technical tasks
• Mentor junior members of the team
• Relocation to San Antonio, TX, or Fort Worth, TX; this position involves minimal travel for collaboration with customers and partners
Preferred Experience & Skills as a Senior Cloud Engineer:

• Experience with Kubernetes
• Experience setting up cloud services
• Experience administering Linux and/or Windows servers
• Experience with infrastructure automation (e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Salt)
• Experience developing CI/CD pipelines
