2023 Intern, Communications
The Role:
Moderna is seeking a Communications intern to support the R&D communications team with project management, writing, graphic design and research.
We offer one Summer Internship start date on June 5, 2023. The program is 10-12 weeks in duration. Candidates must be available for a minimum of 10 weeks to participate in the program.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
- Conduct research about science and clinical care related to Moderna’s pipeline of products under development
- Develop and manage SmartSheet project timelines
- Participate in meetings with colleagues from across the organization, including Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs, Digital, and R&D
- Interface with external, agencies, partners, and vendors to implement communications campaigns
- Write and edit documents
- Design and write social media posts to support R&D messages
- Schedule meetings, write and distribute meeting minutes
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism or relevant field, science courses is a plus
- Writing skills
- Ability to read basic-level clinical and science publications
- Ability to effectively translate science into easily understandable language
- Project management and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills, graphic design software a plus
- Experience working in an office environment
