2023 Co-op, FP&A Systems Analyst

The Role:
The Finance Systems Analyst Co-op will be responsible for partnering with members of the FP&A team to identify and document current and future processes related to our financial planning systems.

This individual will generate test scripts to assess the new financial processes, including data validation to facilitate positive UAT outcomes. The team member will deliver a comprehensive set of documentation to the FP&A library to enable efficient onboarding, cross training, and smooth efficiency of the FP&A teams’ day-to-day processes. They will develop a communication plan, and partner with the FP&A systems team to deliver training sessions to the broader FP&A organization.
This individual will interact with FP&A members across the globe and will have access to learn industry leading finance systems and processes while driving impact for the organization.
They will be exposed to various financial systems from a testing and documentation perspective.
Ultimately, the student will have an opportunity to enhance their understanding of financial systems and processes, build strong good documentation practices and project management skills.
Our co-op program dates are from January 9th, 2023 – June 16th, 2023. Candidates must be available for the entire duration of the program.

Here’s What You’ll Do:
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions across multiple groups and document clear, accurate and testable requirements
  • Understand and analyze data across the system(s)
  • Demonstrate quantitative and analytical skills
  • Understand/learn various project development methodologies
  • Maintain organizational skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments at the same time
  • Problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to document clearly and concisely current and future state data and process flows
  • Basic project plan and management skills, with swim lanes and milestones

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
  • Finance or Information Systems Major Preferred
  • Good academic standing Required
  • Technical Skills including but not limited to Microsoft Visio or any similar software (Must have), Word, PowerPoint, Excel, understanding of Finance terminology/Financial statements
  • Good communication skills, ability to work on multiple projects and good documentation practices required
