Responsibilities


The Commercial Gas Scheduler position will be responsible for the natural gas scheduling that supports EnLink’s Commercial activities. The Commercial Gas Scheduler has a dynamic role in the organization and will interact with Traders, Pipeline Schedulers, Accounting, and Planning as a valuable contributing member of the team. 
  • Preparation and loading of nominations using 3rd party Electronic Bulletin Boards and EnLink platforms. The Scheduler will work closely with the Trader to ensure accuracy of deal execution.
  • Adhere to strict industry deadlines and standards.
  • Enter and balance data in the EnLink system of record daily for position reporting. Ensure pipeline transport rates and costs are obtained and recorded. The Scheduler plays a key role in maintaining accurate records of the movement of gas and the costs associated and will participate in the month end hand off to accounting. 
  • Monitor bulletin boards and contact 3rd party pipelines to gather and report operational issues that may affect EnLink assets. 
  • Work closely with accounting to research and resolve discrepancies as they occur.
  • Provide gas scheduling assistance and/or evening and weekend rotation

Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Business-related degree preferred, but not required.
  • Experience will be considered, experience in the following is a plus:
  • Knowledge of the natural gas pipeline grid.
  • Experience with pipeline system balancing procedures.
  • Understanding volume imbalances, OBA’s, transport statements, pipeline tariffs, and EBB applications.
  • Understanding of operational issues associated with larger, FERC regulated systems having various interstate and intrastate pipeline connectivity.
  • Understanding of pipeline operations including pressures, flow rates and capacity issues.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to critically think is required.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently while working in a time-sensitive environment with non-flexible deadlines is required.
  • Ability to communicate and cooperate with personnel at all levels of the organization required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel is required.
