Social Media Content Creator – TikTok – Fall Term 2022 (open to work study and non-work study)

The Center for Media Engagement (CME) is looking for a social media savvy undergraduate student to help launch and build our TikTok presence. The student will be responsible for owning the content and upkeep of the channel but will communicate with marketing and research staff to ensure brand fit and research accuracy. The position will be scheduled for three days per week for a total of 10 hours.  
 
This position is responsible for planning the launch of a TikTok channel featuring the center’s research and for running the channel on a day-to-day basis. Successful candidates will be able to present CME research findings in engaging, creative, and relatable ways to a young adult audience.   
 
Tasks include: 
  • Researching TikTok best practices 
  • Understanding and staying up-to-date with trends 
  • Crafting a brand voice 
  • Planning launch strategy and long-term strategy 
  • Producing weekly content 
 
The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for social media, a solid grasp on what makes content resonate on TikTok, and is comfortable working independently. The role requires efficiency with photography, videography, and editing as it pertains to TikTok.
