Dean of Students Student Assistant (open to work study and non-work study)

Supports the operations of the Office of the Dean of Students by completing clerical and administrative responsibilities. The position is completely in-person and does not include remote work assignments.

Responsibilities:
·      Complete clerical duties such as filing, scanning, data entry and database maintenance, preparing and proofing documents, photocopying and other related tasks
·      Assist with set up/breakdown of meetings and events
·      Pick up and deliver materials on campus
·      Assist with documentation, preparation, dissemination, and destruction of official documents
·      Perform other related duties as required
 
Required Qualifications: 
·      Current enrollment at The University of Texas with a 2.5 GPA
·      Ability to handle confidential information
·      Ability to work in a fast-paced office environment
·      Display excellent interpersonal skills
·      Ability to prioritize projects
·      Punctual, reliable, and detail-orientated
·      Exhibit a professional demeanor including attire
·      Authorization to work in the United States of America
 
Preferred Qualifications:
·      Experience in a professional office environment
·      Experience using standard office equipment including a copier/scanner
·      Excellent organizational skills
·      Ability to show initiative, function independently, attention to detail and accuracy
·      Knowledge of university resources
·      Ability to problem solve
 
Terms of Employment:
·      Approximately 10 hours per week
·      Hours to be scheduled 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday
