Fundraising/Development Internship

Fundraising/Research/Development Intern Role
 
Nomi Network combats human trafficking by creating pathways to safe employment, empowering women and girls to break cycles of slavery in their families and communities.

Compensation
*This is an unpaid internship, but it can be eligible for school credit.

Location: Remote
Hours: 10-20 hrs / week (flexible around your schedule)
Dates: Mid September- Mid-December

 
Position Description: 
As an intern, you will be a member of our small team, have the ability to bring your ideas to the table and assist with all aspects of our organization. You will learn the ins and outs of the non-profit world and gain valuable experience in a professional office environment while working closely with leaders in the anti-human trafficking movement. Specifically, as our Fundraising Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in fundraising strategy, execution, and donor relations of all sorts. 
 
 
Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the organization’s core audience and their goals and motivations 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Self-starter, ability to work well alone or with others
  • Responsible, reliable, confident, and a desire to learn
  • Must possess their own laptop
  • Must provide short sample of creative writing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
  • Experience in event planning and fundraising is ideal 
 
Tasks:
  • Researching donors, foundations, and grant opportunities
  • Developing relationships and follow up with donors
  • Supporting fundraising event preparation 
  • Proposing personal fundraising strategies
  • Providing administrative support
  • Assisting with special projects and events as needed
 
* Enrollment in a Bachelor/Master’s degree program at the time of the internship is required (certificate programs are not eligible)
