Front Desk Student Associate- Career Services

Important Note:  
Liberal Arts Career Services is looking for 1-2 work-study or nonwork-study students. The students will start in the fall and continue into the spring semester. Fall hours will average around 12-15 hours per week. Required to work on campus. Candidates will be evaluated based on customer service experience, a desire to help your fellow students, and schedule availability. Freshman and Sophomores are encouraged to apply.  

Qualifications:  
We are looking for someone who is well organized, has a strong attention to detail, works well on a team and is very friendly. Previous work experience at a front desk or customer service is a plus.

Job Duties:  
  • Serve as primary office receptionist at Liberal Arts Career Services. Pleasantly and promptly greet and assist office visitors in person and on the telephone. Make appointments and maintain calendars for staff. Verify that students qualify for services. Help students navigate Handshake (job/internship database) accounts. 
  • Provide administrative support to the Services Coordinator and LACS staff. Ensure that the overall office, kitchen, and reception area are a polished and professional look. Keep supply drawers, and storage closets, organized and neat. Operate office machines and equipment, including computers. Help organize workshops and assist with other LACS events. Run errands around campus as needed. 
  • Assist with special events and programs, i.e. the annual Law Fair and bi-annual Liberal Arts Career and Internship Fair. 
  • Perform other duties as requested.
