2022 Master's & PhD - Assistant Director, Metabolite Identification

Overview

Experienced Scientist to design, conduct and report metabolite profiling and identification experiments in drug metabolism and ADME studies to support drug discovery, development and regulatory registration.
Education and experience in areas of mass spectrometry, drug metabolism, pharmaceutic al sciences and/or organic chemistry are essential. Excellent oral and written communication skills are expected.

Responsibilities

  • Design in vitro metabolism and in vivo ADME experiments based on needs for drug discovery, development and regulatory registration, Generate study protocols.
  • Develop LC-UV-MS and/or LC/radio detection/MS methods for detection, identification and semi-quantitative analysis of metabolites.
  • Conduct metabolite detection, characterization and isolation of experiments in liver microsomes, S9 fraction, hepatocytes, plasma, urine, bile and tissues.
  • Manage a research group with multiple scientists and interact directly with clients and scientists in other functions of our company.
  • Provide data interpretation and generate reports for various drug metabolism and ADME studies.


Qualifications

  • A Ph.D. or Master’s degree in drug metabolism, pharmaceutical analysis, organic chemistry and other related areas with relevant experience.
  • Working knowledge in drug metabolism, enzymology and/or structural elucidation of small molecules.
  • Hands-on experience in the use and application of LC/MS, especially high-resolution mass spectrometry for detection and structurally characterization of small molecules in biological samples.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, written and oral
  • Overseas education background or working experience is required.
