2022- 2023: Human Resources Development Program Intern

Human Resources Development Program (HRDP) Summer Internship: 


Summer internships are in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, or in Houston, TX.
During the 10- to 12-week internship, you will be assigned projects with one of our human resources leaders and business unit groups throughout the organization and will:
  • Gain a better understanding of our business and the human resources function
  • Learn more about our people and our culture
  • Be exposed to a variety of Chevron organizations and senior management
  • Contribute value to a global organization
  • Demonstrate and grow your HR capabilities

Typical assignments may include either corporate or embedded positions in talent management, total remuneration, expatriate administration, labor relations, or generalist roles in various business areas.
The internship experience is designed to achieve two objectives:
  • Prepare candidates who excel in their internship for entry into our full-time HR Development Program upon graduation.
  • Enable interns to gain an understanding of what it is like to work for the human resources function at Chevron.


Required Qualifications:

The HRDP Summer Internship Program is designed for first-year graduate students currently enrolled in a Master's degree program in Human Resources/Labor Relations or MBA program with a concentration in Human Resources.


Preferred Qualifications:

We look for candidates who possess the following characteristics:
  • Preferably three to five years of prior work experience.
  • Leadership potential
  • Ability to deliver results and manage projects effectively
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communication skills and influencing capability
  • Commitment to a long-term career in human resources
  • Willing to be geographically mobile, both domestically and internationally
