IT Onsite Technician (2440)
Myriad Genetics is currently seeking a technician to join our IT Onsite team in providing onsite services. Hardware support environment includes desktops, laptops, Android/iOs Tablets, Macs, projectors, network printers and IP phones.
This position will be required to maintain and support the printer environment and assist with the A/V conferencing solution. This requires experience with similar products and vendor management.
The successful candidate will perform all responsibilities in accordance with all company standards, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will identify, research, resolve or escalate technical problems for those employees and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide frontline resolution/escalation for technical support requests in the office.
- Provides printer and A/V support across the myriad campus and helps drive the solution for other offices.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to accomplish deliverables.
- Setting up and moving IT equipment in the office as needed.
- Works out of a ticketing queue to self-assign work.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- 2 years of experience supporting printer and A/V Conferencing environments.
- High standard of customer service, quality, and attention to detail
- Familiar with Windows/MacOS and associated support concepts and best practices.
- Understanding of Networking concepts and practices as they apply to desktop and laptop support.
- Familiar with both iOS and Android Tablets to confidently provide support and troubleshoot.
- Has knowledge of common concepts, practices and procedures within a corporate Desktop/Laptop support environment.
- Strong oral and written English language skills including experience creating written documentation for technical and non-technical audiences
Knowledge of the Following is also very helpful:
- LanDesk/Jamf Pro/ Dell Wyse/ VMware Horizon
- Office 365/Intune
- Windows 7/10; MacOS/iOS
- HP Printing and Teams
- Regulatory standards, i.e, HITRUST, SOX, etc.
Physical and Mental Requirements of the job:
Repetitive motion, analyzing, comfortably lifting at least 50 lbs.
Being able to sit for long periods of time, being able to bend and crawl under desks.
Think on your feet and handle fast paced (and at times high pressure) environment.
