Postdoctoral Fellow-Protein Analytical Chemistry

We are seeking a highly motivated, independent researcher for a postdoctoral position in the Protein Analytical Chemistry Department at Genentech. The successful candidate will play a key role in pioneering the advancement of chemical cross-linking mass spectrometry in an industry setting. The research will focus on establishing and applying chemical cross-linking mass spectrometry tools to investigate antibody interactions (e.g., with target antigens, Fc receptors, host cell proteins, and anti-drug antibodies), with the aim of gaining structural insight on critical interactions that impact the product quality of antibody therapeutics. In addition, the candidate will be able drive their own ideas and collaborate across Genentech and Roche Global.

This work will include a strong cross-functional collaboration with the multiple other Pharmaceutical Technical Development (PTD) and Genentech Early Research and Development (gRED) departments.

The successful candidate will be a recent PhD graduate in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline. A strong publication record should provide evidence of productive, independent contributions in science. The applicant must have demonstrated expertise in protein chemistry and mass spectrometry. Prior experience with chemical cross-linking mass spectrometry (including sample preparation, MS data analysis, and validation) is highly desirable. The successful candidate must be highly self-motivated, capable of working independently, have excellent oral and written communication skills, and enjoy working in a collaborative setting.
