The Department of Environmental Quality, Office of Human Resources is seeking a customer services-oriented individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing, to provide the agency with a professional level of services as a member of the Human Resources Team. This position serves as a full-time Business Partner to assigned Regions and Divisions. The HR Generalist works closely with agency leadership and hiring managers to develop HR strategies that support the agency’s mission and strategic goals of sustaining an outcome-workforce and culture. The HR Generalist is key to the overall operations of the Office of Human Resource with special emphasis on recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation/classification, employee relations, conflict resolution, grievance procedure, state benefits program, leave processing/transactions, records management and overall customer service.
