Proposal Management

The Space Dynamics Laboratory (SDL) is seeking applicants to oversee proposal efforts for SDL’s Civil & Commercial Space (CVS) Division. This position is based in North Logan, UT.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide proposal support for SDL’s Civil and Commercial Space Division
  • Collaborate with SDL leadership to secure sufficient proposal resources
  • Coordinate with marketing manager for proposal-related messaging, graphics, etc.
  • Manage large, complex proposals and proposal volumes/segments for NASA or commercial space customers
  • Manage small to moderate-scale efforts, including RFI or ROM responses, customer requests, etc.
  • Manage and track CVS-related proposal initiatives, including ongoing research related to NASA Guidebook for Proposers, decadal surveys, NASA planning documents, etc.
  • Provide support in maintaining internal proposal procedure as part of larger “capturing business” process
  • Assist with past performance database and maintenance
  • Assist with SDL boilerplate and resume databases
  • Edit and assist with maintenance for proposal-related documents (i.e., pricing principles, subcontracting plan)
  • Execute proposal-related deliverables as needed (i.e., letters of commitment, questionnaires)
  • Interface with technical staff and program services personnel, including Contracts, Cost, Security and Subcontracting, to ensure successful proposal deliverables
  • Reinforce the use of the established proposal processes, including proper staffing of proposal efforts, inclusion of reviews and enforcement of firewalling policy

Required Qualifications:
  • BS/BA in applicable field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing technical writing deliverables
  • Minimum of 2 years managing proposals or project management deliverables with strict deadlines
  • Proven ability to ensure that materials developed are compliant with RFPs, RFls, etc. and meet organizational needs
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationship with leadership, peers, and proposal content contributors, even during complex or challenging circumstances
  • Strong writing and analytical skills; excellent verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management skills, personal motivation, and proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to present and promote a positive image of the organization
