Associate Governmental Program Analyst (JC - 287611)

The State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Water Rights has an opening for two Associate Governmental Program Analysts in the Registrations Unit of the Permitting and Enforcement Branch. The Registration Unit issues small appropriative water rights across the State. The position is located at 1001 I Street, 14 Floor, Sacramento, right in the heart of downtown next to light rail stations, other public transportation, awesome restaurants and more. The positions will be working from home due to the coronavirus pandemic but should expect to return to the Sacramento office in the future.

Duties:
The positions primarily perform assignments related to the processing of water right registrations and other processes relating to the administration of the State Water Board’s water rights regulatory authority. Specific responsibilities may include:
  • Analyze and evaluate water right registrations for acceptability and identify application deficiencies.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain water right registration program forms, databases, and procedures.
  • Manage and maintain program data, databases, and procedures.
  • Create charts and graphs using program data and Microsoft Office products and other tools.
  • Prepare programmatic information for public outreach materials. Conduct public outreach and attend meetings with partner agencies and other stakeholders.
