Associate Accountant

NextEra Energy Resources is one of the largest wholesale generators of electric power and renewable energy from the wind and sun in North America.
 
Position Specific Description
 
The FCOE Transactional Accounting Operations team is seeking an Associate Accountant at our Headquarters in Juno Beach, Florida. In this position, you will support various Business Units across the Enterprise with Journal Entries, Balance Sheet reconciliations, cash application other ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.

Job Overview

Employees in this job assist in preparing financial reports in a timely manner that are in compliance with GAAP and accurately reflect the financial status of the company.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

•  Assists in researching GAAP, SEC regulations, and relative company policies, practices and procedures
•  Prepares schedules and journal entries
•  Understands and applies appropriate internal controls to ensure accounting integrity of corporate financial data
•  Performs other job-related duties as assigned
