Sr Manager- Project Management
This position directly supports project leaders/managers within the Biologics Development Analytical Operations function to maintain and track routine project activities including timelines, action items, resource plans and other project related documents.
  • Provide project management support for Biologics Analytical Operations (BAO) function within the Biologics Development organization.
  • Project Manage Analytical Subteams accountable for analytical development and testing deliverables for molecule development projects
  • Facilitate the design, implementation, and updating of Project Plans in Smartsheet for multiple development projects simultaneously.
  • Work in partnership with BAO analytical leaders to ensure timely, efficient, and effective meetings, as well as progress on team activities.
  • Ensure alignment and connectivity between site PMO and BAO leadership and management.
  • Participate in and provide meeting management support to cross-functional process teams within BAO.
  • Facilitates critical escalation activities for critical projects and molecule development programs.
  • Propose and implement plans to resolves issues and take corrective actions for projects critical to strategic business objectives.
  • Provide leadership to project teams and functional areas within the BAO organization to identify and mitigate complex project issues that may pose challenges to strategic goals.
  • Effectively balance strategic and tactical thinking and tasks.
  • Contribute towards sustainability of project and program management processes.
  • Represent site PMO in meetings and forums, as needed.
  • Represent BAO in various forums and meetings, as needed.
Essential Functions:
  • May participate in project and relevant departmental meetings and activities.
  • Posts and maintains basic information to online databases and shared folders as necessary.
  • Provides relevant associated reports and presentations.
  • Assists in following-up on relevant basic departmental or project related issues.
  • Assists with basic project resource planning.
  • Uses tracking and reporting tools as needed to provide input to the project teams and/or senior project management personnel.
  • Generates agendas/minutes and facilitates team/sub-team meetings that involve cross-functional groups.
  • Establishes excellent working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Facilitates and assists in risk and impact assessments.
Knowledge, Experience and Skills:
  • 8+ years of relevant experience, BS in science and PMP, MS or MBA a plus
  • Bioanalytical development or testing experience a must.
  • Required to have excellent interpersonal, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Required to be able to manage multiple activities and teams simultaneously.
  • Must be an adept user of Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, Visio (Swimlanes) and PowerPoint.
  • Must be detailed oriented.
  • Must be able to work under close supervision using defined procedures and processes.
  • Must be knowledgeable in biotech development and clinical manufacturing process.
  • Smartsheet project management tool expertise highly desired.
