Cost Accountant

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for all things related to manufacturing costs and trends. In supporting the manufacturing and production across the plant this role will track part costs, variances, productivity, and efficiency trends as well as communicate these trends to the production teams. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of manufacturing cost drivers and the desire to learn, improve, and challenge the status quo.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor cost, productivity, and efficiency trends.
  • Analyze production variances.
  • Maintain Manufacturing Overhead Costs and burden factors.
  • Communicate changes in costs to stakeholders in production and marketing.
  • Maintain Inter-Company pricing.
  • Support Inventory Management.
  • Identify products in need of cost improvements.
  • Generate Month-End closing entries related to manufacturing cost and overhead.
  • Maintain Fixed Asset projects and budgets.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • General understanding of GAAP.
  • 1 plus year's of experience.
