You will join our Water/Wastewater Department
As our new Engineer 1 you will be part of a team dedicated to working with municipalities and utilities to deliver a wide range of water-related projects; from preliminary studies to following projects through design and construction.  The candidate will be joining a highly successful team providing full service municipal drinking water and wastewater solutions service within the northeast region while collaborating with other offices and teams through Ramboll North America.    
Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Prepare basic designs and perform calculations in support of projects of routine to average complexity, following design, construction and regulatory standards, using design software and drawing tools.
  • Analyses survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photographs and other data to plan projects of routine to average complexity. Make deductions from analyses as required to create design deliverables for review by a senior engineer.
  • Evaluate equipment and materials to be used for writing technical specifications.
  • Prepare or present routine technical reports.
  • Visit job sites to gain field experience, broaden background, and develop practical engineering skills.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in civil or environmental engineering or engineering technology; or
  • Associate Degree in engineering technology, science, math, architecture, computing, technical drafting, or other relevant technical curriculum and 3+ years of qualifying engineering experience working in the engineering/design field.
  • Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, and proficient in Microsoft Office.  Proficiency in AutoCAD is desirable but not required.
