You will join our Environment and Health department
As a new Consultant you will be part of the ambitious, diverse, creative, and collaborative team in Overland Park, KS and focus primarily on work within our Air Quality and Compliance, Strategy & Transaction practices. When you start with Ramboll, you’ll be joining a company that strives to make a difference – for our employees, clients and society. As you work on challenging projects, you will be given increasing responsibility – while also being able to rely on experienced managers and colleagues to offer support and a helping hand as you learn and develop in your role. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Technical assistance on air quality & environmental compliance projects
  • Preparing plans, permits, and reports for air quality, storm water, NPDES, hazardous waste, and wastewater programs
  • Air quality analyses, emission inventory reports, and evaluation of air pollution control technologies
  • Performing environmental compliance assessments and implementing follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • General environmental compliance support to clients, including on-site assistance, as needed
  • Compilation and evaluation of data and assistance with report preparation
  • Rule research and interpretation
  • Traveling to industrial facilities for client meetings and facility walk-throughs
  • Communication and negotiation with regulatory agencies
  • Ensuring quality standards are met for project deliverables
  • Completion of Ramboll and client safety training and workplace safety requirements

  • Completion or nearing completion (May 2022) of a relevant science (environmental) or engineering discipline (civil, chemical, environmental or similar)
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong hands-on spreadsheet and database comprehension
  • Detail-oriented with strong trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task, maintain flexibility, travel, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Relevant environmental experience or professional internships a plus
  • EIT certification a plus
  • Candidates local to the Kansas City metro area preferred
  • Desire to learn and grow a career in the environmental consulting field
