SOR Grant Program Coordinator
The SOR Grant Program Coordinator will be assigned full-time to the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to support coordination of the SAMHSA-funded State Opioid Response (SOR) grant’s funded activities.
The Massachusetts SOR grants aims to address the opioid crisis in Massachusetts by increasing access to medication-assisted treatment reducing unmet treatment need and reducing opioid overdose related deaths through the provision of prevention, treatment, and recovery activities for opioid use and/or stimulant use disorder.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinates specific grant activities as assigned.
- Assists the SOR Program Manager and SOR Project Director in day-to-day management of grant including development, implementation, evaluation, and communications.
- Acts as liaison with local community-based organizations charged with implementing service components of the grant.
- Updates BSAS staff on new issues, trends, news, etc. related to grant-funded activities.
- Coordinates meetings and calls between grant partners.
- Compiles progress reports and assists in drafting annual and final reports to SAMSHA Grant Project Officer.
- Conducts administrative, budgeting and reporting activities.
- Participates in all staff development as indicated by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Public Health, Social Work or related fields.
- Experience with services for vulnerable populations including people with a substance use disorder.
- Interest in the field of addiction prevention, intervention, treatment and/or recovery support.
