Hardware Engineer

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for all aspects of the electrical hardware design of an Electrical System including high-speed digital, power management, PCB layouts, and thermal management. This role collaborates with the firmware and software teams to define and implement high-performance computing platforms. The Hardware Engineer also collaborates directly with Project, System Architecture, and Mechanical & Electrical Engineers to realize innovative products in a wide variety of industries.

To be considered, you’ll need:
-       Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
-       Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering and Hardware Design is preferred.
-       Experience with the following:
o  Microcontrollers/Microprocessors: 16-bit, 32-bit, 64-bit, etc. 
o  DSPs.
o  SoCs.
o  FPGAs, CPLDs, & PLDs.
o  Designing PCBs: KiCad, Altium, OrCAD/Allegro, PADS/Mentor Graphics, Eagle, etc.  
o  Generating PCB outputs for manufacturing that comply with IPC standards.
o  Creating clear and concise design/test documentation.
-       Familiarity with the following concepts:
o  Medical device design validation & verification: IEC 60601-1x, IEC 62304, & ISO 14971.
o  Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Architectures.
-       Ability & willingness to learn new technologies.
-       Excellent verbal, written, & presentation skills.
-       To be well-organized, self-motivated, energetic, creative, and resourceful.
-       To be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or be willing to become vaccinated against COVID-19 upon hire.
