Product Services Lines looking for R&D Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Interns:
Baroid | Sperry | Multi-Chem | Production Enhancement
 
What You Will Do…
Interns have real company projects that are assigned during the summer. Projects you could potentially work on include:
  • For Sperry Drilling
  • Performance testing of various extraction systems
  • Gas chromatography process instrument validation and verification
  • High profile projects on delivery of advanced gas service for Haliburton
  • Performance testing of various scale inhibitor chemistries to prevent mineral scale deposition
  • Drilling or reservoir fluid formulation development
  • High profile projects on delivery of advanced gas service for Haliburton
  • Development of improved production chemicals (flow, corrosion, phase separation)
What You Need to Know…
  • Sperry Drilling
  • Dynamic and static gas/liquid thermodynamic equilibrium
  • Mass transfer
  • Equipment Knowledge – Gas chromatography (GC)
o  Separations (Distillations, Flash columns), knowledge
  • Organic synthesis, Microscopy
  • Equipment Knowledge –
  • Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP), rheometer, ion chromatography
  • Mass Spectrometry, FTIR (Fourier Transform Infra-red Spectroscopy), NIR (Near Infra-Red Spectroscopy), Raman.
·        Knowledge of organic and inorganic chemicals, materials science, formulation science, materials science, tribology, surfactants, Polymer Chemistry
·        Process Control simulation and design
·        Separations (Distillations, Flash columns), knowledge
  • Strong communication & presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and good attitude
 
Work Authorization: Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
GPA Requirement: 3.2
Majors: Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry
Degree: BS, MS, PhD
