General Summary of the Position
Clements Fluids exits to unearth and unleash the God-given potential in every well and every person we encounter. The Purchasing Agent reports to the Supply Chain Manager. This individual will take a lead role in procurement of raw materials and the coordination of its transportation to multiple facilities. The agent will also be responsible for maintaining strong vendor and internal customer relationships while assisting the team in continuously improving the cost of goods and services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (following are accountabilities included but not limited to):
  • Create purchase orders and execute requisitions of raw materials and supplies to meet manufacturing demands and requirements 
  • Procure and coordinate timely and cost-effective transportation of raw materials and supplies
  • Compare and analyze suppliers, goods, and transportation carriers pricing trends to develop best pricing practices to continuously improve the cost of goods and services
  • Foster stellar relationships across the supply chain with emphasized focus on vendors and internal customers
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education, Training, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred
  • Prior logistics or distribution experience preferred
  • Proficient using a computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
