Junior Payroll Associate
About the Role:
This role will report directly to the HR Vice President & Total Rewards Manager, and work closely with the Human Resources, Payroll, and Accounting Teams to service the firm’s payroll processes.
Responsibilities:
- Onboard new hires to the HRIS and payroll system to ensure alignment with offer letter
- Process and audit terminations for separations according to agreements
- Supports development and review of employee program offerings
- Manage system updates related to contractual offer letters, separation agreements, and consultant contracts
- Complete employment verifications as needed
- Prepare and audit domestic payroll across multiple frequencies (semi-monthly, bi-weekly, and monthly)
- Work with international payrolls vendors to process UK and French payrolls
- Create analytics related to workforce demographics, attrition, and compensation packages
- Review and approve consultant/vendor invoices
- Compile and audit non-exempt timesheets for payroll submission
- Lead system development and program updates with software developers
- Create workflows within payroll database to align audits between our accounting system and payroll system
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- 1-3 years of professional experience, financial services background preferred
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and NetSuite
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects and tasks
- Proactive with ability to think critically to streamline processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eager to work in a fast-paced environment both independently and collaboratively
