Salary: $74,950 - $97,430 per year
 
The Congressional Research Service (CRS) Government and Finance Division seeks an Analyst in Public Finance to join its Government Finance and Taxation Section. The analyst will serve the United States Congress by providing in-depth research and analysis on public policy issues related to microeconomics with an emphasis on federal tax administration and enforcement, individual income tax, or tax expenditures, and may support research throughout CRS.
 
The ideal candidate will have formal training and experience in microeconomics with an emphasis on federal tax administration and enforcement, individual income tax, or tax expenditures; knowledge and experience with public policymaking; and/or formal training in public finance, tax policy, and economics. Strong public policy research, writing, and presentation skills are essential, as is the ability to work as part of a collaborative team. Candidates with experience explaining complex and technical public policies, programs, and economic principles in terms that resonate with audiences of differing levels of expertise are encouraged to apply.
