ULN EL: Digital Media and Marketing Intern
Jon Brumley Texas Venture Labs (JBTVL) is where graduate students at UT Austin learn and practice the discipline of entrepreneurship. Our four main programs – the TVL Practicum, TVL Accelerator, TVL Investment Competition and TVL Startup Fellows – offer graduate students from across campus the opportunity to work with Texas-based startups and to get connected with the local business ecosystem.
JBTVL is looking for a Digital Media and Marketing Intern who can support our digital media presence and marketing efforts. The Digital Media and Marketing Intern will help design, produce and manage our digital collateral including graphics and videos for JBTVL events and programs. They also will help us spread the word through our social media and marketing channel outreach. They will think critically about the message JBTVL wants to present externally, consistent with UT and McCombs brand standards, and they will propose/design materials that are visually engaging and on-message.
Interns will be able to improve their design and marketing skills while gaining experience working with a small but energetic team. They will provide input and constructive feedback on the design of our digital media assets and on our marketing strategies. They will gain exposure and insight to the local Austin startup and venture capital communities. Other professional goals may be added upon the intern’s request.
Our internship is ideal for students looking to gain hands-on experience using their creative and critical thinking skills to help a brand and organization engage with its stakeholders and clients. Our ideal candidate should have a well-rounded skillset and be eager to learn more. Individuals who are detail oriented and fiercely curious about how to grow and improve are the types of people we'd love to support!
