Instructional Designer (Advisor)

Join a team transforming healthcare by deploying next-generation technology solutions that help make healthcare more affordable, predictable, and simple.
 
You will be part of a shared services team, reporting through the Chief of Staff for Network Analytics, and be responsible for ensuring the organization operates at peak performance.
 
You will support the generation and delivery of content to over 500 seasoned network contracting and underwriting professionals seeking to learn our new technology. You simultaneously will develop an onboarding curriculum for new hire cohorts. Your mission will lay a foundational knowledge base, allowing users to understand their role fundamentals in relatable ways. Through your work, our team will work more efficiently and be better able to leverage our suites of new tools and technology to drive business results.
 
You will assist in conveying a clear and concise vision for our applications. You will design and develop comprehensive learning materials and experiences and facilitate classroom, virtual and hybrid formats of training that leverage your work product.
 
Our ideal candidate is a passionate instructional designer who enjoys researching, designing, and developing high-impact training programs. You’re a quick learner and have a demonstrated history figuring out business processes and ways to complement them with training materials.
 
Core Responsibilities:
  • Work on multiple projects concurrently managing learning tasks, monitoring activity, progress, and time-related to project development
  • Create and implement innovative learning solutions using rapid development techniques and taking an agile approach
  • Collaborate with product management, subject matter experts, change managers, and delivery team members to identify learning and performance needs
  • Determine performance success metrics and how to measure learning solution impact
  • Conduct needs assessments as required to identify how training can drive ongoing performance improvement across the organization
  • Ensure learning and performance objectives are appropriate to the audience and that the training programs developed to meet the learning and performance objectives
  • Create training design documents that communicate learning strategies to address needs, including content outlines, flow diagrams, technical specifications, and resource/reference documents
  • Design and develop blended training programs that include dynamic, engaging instructional interactions, with elements including instructor-led training, eLearning, simulations, reference guides, on-the-job training, and the use of internal social media working with instructional designers, trainers, subject matter experts, and other business partners
  • Use rapid authoring tools to create eLearning, videos, online assessments, and other online resources
  • Utilizes a document management process for organizing, tracking, and retaining project-related source files, scheduling periodic courses reviews (maintenance/expiration), and version control of all revisions/updates
  • Partner with business managers/operations training teams to coordinate the scheduling of training programs to meet business needs
  • Manage the delivery of training resources and programs using tools such as learning management systems and social sites
  • Design, develop and implement a multi-level evaluation strategy and analyze evaluation outcomes for all training products
  • Create and implement work plans to address any gaps/needs identified in evaluation results
  • Monitor and report effectiveness of all training against identified success measures 
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Two or more years of instructional and presentation design experience or have demonstrated and relevant coursework in instructional design   
  • Exceptional graphics design skill
  • Solid understanding of instructional design theories and principles
  • Proficient with Learning & Development technologies:
  • e-learning development tools (i.e., such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office tools)
  • Image editing tools (i.e., SnagIt and Photoshop)
  • Online survey tools, Learning Management systems, and Web conferencing tools (WebEx)
  • Expert writing and communication skills
  • Expert consulting skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, make effective decisions, coordinate multiple tasks, and work effectively as a team member.
