Summer Intern, Consumer Insights Analyst (R-2022-01-75)

Position Summary:
We are looking for a curious, smart, and enthusiastic intern to join the Consumer Insights Research team, where you'll have ownership over your own projects and the opportunity to learn from experienced researchers.

In this role you'll be working as part of the SiriusXM/Pandora Consumer Insights team to uncover motivations and preferences that drive users' behaviors when it comes to audio listening and using streaming services. We're looking for someone passionate about using insights to help drive decisions in product and marketing experiences and interested in music and audio content.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross functional groups including Marketing, Brand, Creative, Digital Experience and Strategy to identify key research questions and opportunities.
  • Under mentorship, design and lead qualitative and survey research studies that assess the feasibility and success of various product, marketing, and brand strategy efforts.
  • Present research approach and findings to key stakeholders.
  • Develop, with assistance, testing plans, monitoring guides, surveys, data collection, data analyses, insight organization, and reporting to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Process and organize research artifacts for team members to review and reference.
  • Participate in ideation sessions for strategic initiatives and marketing implementations.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Currently pursuing a MS, or PhD degree in human computer interaction, psychology, information science, statistics, sociology, communications, marketing or a related field.
  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship. 
  • Must have experience conducting product related primary research. Relevant project or internship work experience in an applied research setting preferred.
  • Strong understanding and background in both qualitative and quantitative research methods.

Technical Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of office productivity tools, Ex. Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Some knowledge of design software such as AdobeXd or Sketch, statistical programs, and or video editing is a plus.
  • Statistical software.
