Summer Intern, Analytics Enablement Analyst (R-2022-01-72)

Position Summary:
This position will support the marketing team with in-depth analysis of Pandora and Stitcher’s marketing initiatives, including paid media, sponsorships, and new content/feature promotions. The analytics enablement intern will be responsible for distilling internal data into key metrics and insights. The ideal candidate will possess data transformation and visualization skills with a keen business analytics sense.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Write and improve SQL and Airflow code (Python) to support marketing initiatives and data pipelines. Write and improve Airflow code (SQL, Python & YML) to support marketing initiatives and data pipelines.
  • Assist the Marketing Analytics group's analysis efforts around customer targeting, acquisition, and retention; campaign, audience and subscription forecasting, and KPI tracking as Marketing Analytics works in conjunction with broader Finance, Product, Engineering, Data Science and Sales teams.
  • Build and improve automated and ad-hoc data visualizations and dashboards with Tableau and Excel / Google Sheets.
  • Fundamental GCP ecosystem knowledge like creating cluster, starting/stopping the cluster, running SQL code on cluster via terminal (should be familiar with basic linux commands).

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship. 
  • Pursuing or recently completed a technical degree (quantitative or computer science).

Requirements and General Skills:
  • Understanding of foundational marketing concepts.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred Technical Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office and Google Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides).
  • Experience with Tableau or other data visualization / BI software.
  • Experience with SQL coding and automation (in Airflow) or any other relevant database languages.
  • Experience with Python or R. 
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Understanding of basic A/B testing concepts.
  • Familiarity with git and or Bitbucket.
