Summer Intern, Marketing Analytics (R-2022-01-71)

Location: Oakland, CA or Remote

Position Summary:
This position will support the Marketing Analytics and Planning teams with analytical and forecasting initiatives for the Pandora Marketing organization. The ideal candidate will blend strong quantitative skills with a keen business analytics sense, and exhibit strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Automate and improve processes related to Marketing Planning & Analytics efforts.
  • Write queries to aggregate and transform marketing data into actionable insights.
  • Build and improve automated and ad-hoc data visualizations and dashboards with Zeppelin/Tableau, Hive/Presto and Excel/Google Sheets.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field.
  • You must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Internships are open to current students enrolled at a university and recent graduates who graduated within the 12-month period prior to the start of the internship.

  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with other staff.
  • Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
  • Commitment to “internal client” and customer service principles.
  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S.

Technical Skills:
  • Thorough knowledge of MS-Office and Google Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets, Google Slides).
  • Experience with SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS). etc.
  • Familiarity with Git and/or Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Python or R.
