Development Student Assistant

The College of Fine Arts Dean’s Office is seeking a student assistant to support its development team for spring 2022. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with an interest in fundraising, event coordination, membership and/or alumni relations. 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Drafting and processing weekly acknowledgement postcards; filing acknowledgement letters
- Assisting with event planning, including staffing events (as availability allows)
- Assisting with coordination and execution of donor mailings
- Updating donor records and compiling donor research
- Data entry projects and record auditing and updating
- Contacting donors and alumni as needed by phone and email
- Basic office duties such as filing, answering phones, copying and scanning
- Other administrative tasks as assigned
 
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized and hard working, with great attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and social media. This position handles confidential information, so discretion and professionalism is required.
This is also a learning opportunity, so we want candidates who will come to work with questions, project ideas, creativity, curiosity and drive. We are a small, hard-working team, so this position will be treated as a partner in our fundraising efforts. You will get out of this position what you put into it. 

We require someone for 8-10 hours each week and can work a consistent schedule. Work hours are flexible between Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. Specific work shifts and virtual/remote hours can be negotiated.
