Hiring Software Intern for Summer

ANB Systems is a leading software provider to the energy industry. Established in 1997, we build and customize state-of-the-art software solutions for efficiency tracking, demand-side management operations, and retail energy services. At ANB, we empower our clients to become data-savvy and realize operational efficiency through the implementation of data-tracking and reporting systems.

As a software engineering intern at ANB Systems, you will be responsible for building out the core algorithms and infrastructure for our next-generation software solutions. You will be working in a small (4-6 engineers) cross-functional team based out of Houston, TX, focusing on backend system development, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and automation.

Qualifications

· Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts and an understanding of applied statistics and math.

· Strong working experience in Python or NodeJS

· Strong working experience in ReactJS/VueJS or similar front end framework

· Strong experience in Bash/shell scripting or Linux system fundamentals

· Experience with automated testing (unit testing)

· Experience with version control (Git)

· Practical mindset – ability to write production-quality code

· Experience working in a collaborative development environment.

· Experience with continuous integration and delivery.

· Experience with cloud technologies (preferred AWS)

· Creative and outgoing mindset – ability to push the team towards new ideas

Nice to Have:

· Experience with GitLab

· Software automation/DevOps experience

· Experience with mobile development

· Experience with machine learning algorithm design and integration
