About the Position

You will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and maintaining quarterly, annual, and long-term capital and operating budgets, coordinating with budget authorities and executive team, performing analysis, and setting and driving targets
  • Developing and implementing financial forecasting, reporting, and operational drivers and metrics tracking systems
  • Analyzing financial data, creating financial models, and integrating technical models for decision support
  • Reporting on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews
  • Identifying margin-enhancing investments and initiatives and recommending actions by analyzing and interpreting data, and making comparative analyses
  • Analyzing results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements
  • Working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Assisting in preparation of financial offering packages and ongoing reporting to financial and government institutions
  • Increasing productivity by developing automated business intelligence reporting and forecasting tools, including standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and dashboards
  • Performing market research, data mining, and valuation comparisons
  • Supporting site selection analysis by establishing evaluation framework of development criteria, including cost and availability of raw materials, inbound and outbound logistics, human capital workforce and technical support ecosystem

About You

You:

  • Passion for sustainability and the environment

  • Curious and comfortable dealing with ambiguity
  • High level of ownership, pride, and responsibility and able to work independently
  • Gritty with a standard of excellence but not a zero-defect mentality
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive-level management

Your Experience:

Have to Have it:
  • 3+ years of business finance or other relevant experience
  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
  • Exceptional command of Microsoft Excel
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Engineering
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills
  • Good business acumen

Bonus:
  • MBA or Graduate Degree in related field
  • Proficiency in capital intensive operations, project development, and/or construction, and finance concepts
  • Experience within Acquisitions, Asset Management, Development, and/or Project Management
