Associate Functional Consultant
Location: Houston, TX (flexible)

As an Associate Functional Consultant, you will work directly with our customers to help them implement and support Utegration’s various technology solutions. Our new graduate and early career consultants work on real projects that gives them the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our customers and our company. This includes receiving and documenting customer requirements, helping to develop business process improvements and identifying product gaps. In addition, you will be responsible for implementing configuration changes, assisting with and delivering user training, and handling all aspects of solution testing. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing support, documentation and maintenance for various Utility Company business applications, primarily focused on the SAP product suite.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert for the assigned applications, supporting issue investigation, functional questions and problem resolution.
  • Coordinating and participating in unit, system, integration, performance and acceptance testing.
  • Documenting configuration and development changes and ensuring all proper change management and problem management processes are followed.
  • Developing and providing user documentation and training.
  • Ensuring utilization of efficient and effective processes and standards in order to continuously improve the quality of products and services.
 
Key Qualifications:
  • Must have (at minimum) bachelor’s degree. Preferred: Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Engineering, or General Business Degree.
  • 0-2 years experience in a professional business environment (preferably in consulting, accounting/finance, engineering, or information technology role)
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand the business problem and apply analytical thinking to provide solution
  • Creative problem solving/analytical reasoning skills and flexibility are required; also essential are the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, to think critically, to prioritize, and to take direction
  • Ability and desire to adapt to new environment and learn new skills quickly
  • Ability to travel significantly (approx. 100% throughout continental US). Due to the exposure to various projects and geographically diverse client base, frequent customer on-site is required. (Travel will vary depending on Covid-19 restrictions and client demands)
