Technical Writer II

Location/Division Specific Information
Our team in Austin, TX is at the heart of the global response to COVID-19 with sample isolation and viral testing reagents that support the Biosciences Division (BID) and Genetic Sciences Division (GSD) workflows. We are seeking a Technical Writer to join our growing team!
Discover Impactful Work:
  • Prepare and revise documents for manufacturing operations
  • Submit and shepherd document redlines through change control process in document-control software system
  • Works closely with the Technical Operations and Quality Assurance in multiple Operations tasks
  • Prepare written work instructions and manufacturing documentation
  • Work in cross-functional teams to support process and material changes
  • Other duties as required
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field
Experience
  • 2+ years of industry experience, preferably in a manufacturing focused life-science environment; experience writing SOP and/or pharmaceutical documents is preferred
  • Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to self-motivate, prioritize work and time.
  • Organized, efficient, and results-oriented
  • Ability to follow up on commitments and detail-oriented.
  • Expert in oral and written communication (verbal and written in English), as well as social skills
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 and ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Knowledge Agile, SAP, and Trackwise applications is a plus
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
