Job Summary

Power Generation Regulatory Compliance is seeking a engineering intern to support Power Generation’s compliance with North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) and regional reliability organization regulations and policies. Under direction of supervisor or work leader, performs routine assignments designed to develop professional engineering work knowledge, gain familiarity with techniques, approaches, practices and the nature of engineering systems, equipment, etc. and to develop the ability to apply fundamental engineering principles and techniques, procedures and criteria in carrying out sequence of related engineering tasks. Limited exercise of judgment is required on details of work and in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives.

Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, fundamentals and theory;
Oral and written communication skills (includes technical writing);

Ability to learn to apply engineering theories and concepts to complex problems;
Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices;

Education Requirements

Must be enrolled in an Engineering degree program from an ABET accredited Engineering program at a four year or post-graduate college or university. Preferred majors: Electrical
Graduation date of spring 2023 or later
Candidates must have a 2.5 minimum GPA
