Embedded Software and Networks Engineer

We develop some of the nation’s most important cyber networking equipment using an agile, continuous-integration environment. Our networking gear includes customized hardware and software, bleeding-edge FPGAs, and high-speed optical network interfaces.

We are seeking applicants for junior and mid-level embedded software-development positions to create our next-generation high-speed networking equipment. We want people who have a keen interest in cyber networking technologies and a strong background in designing and developing highly-reliable software. Candidates should know how to follow structured software development processes, should be experienced with bug reporting/tracking, and have experience with test-driven software development.

Required Qualifications:
  • BS in related field (CS, CE, EE)
  • Strong command of the C++ programming language
  • Possess skills in object-oriented software engineering, embedded software development, agile programming methodologies, unit testing, and verification and validation software
  • Experience with software version control and bug tracking tools (Git and Jira)
  • Ability to understand hardware documentation such as data sheets and schematics to write software interfaces to the component level
  • Must be able to travel on occasion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Let us know in your application materials if you possess the following:
  • Networking background including TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, and various long-haul networking technologies, (OSI layers 1-4)
  • Ability to analyze network protocols with protocol analyzer (e.g., Wireshark)
  • Knowledge of SQL programming and interfacing to databases
  • Experience with functional programming languages
  • Ability to read hardware data sheets, schematics, and assembly drawings to develop software interfaces at the component level
  • Current TS or SSBI Clearance
