Software, Platform, or Security Engineering Intern
About the Role
As a Software, Platform, or Security Engineering Intern, you will:
- Be embedded with a dynamic, data-focused team
- Utilize the resources of the world’s largest IT department and leading IT vendors at your fingertips
- Work alongside a team of product owners, service owners, architects and other specialists to develop, improve, and craft new products and services
You will also have the opportunity to specialize in one of three areas: Software Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Security Engineering.
- As the Software Engineering intern, you will produce at-scale enterprise software development products focused on trading applications, primarily using Java J2EE / C#.Net. You will also work on rapid application development using Salesforce, Service Now, and Microsoft PowerApps, and also develop responsive mobile/web applications using React Native or Xamarin.
- As the Platform Engineering Intern, you will produce at-scale automation using automation frameworks, complex scripting such as Python, and microservices development. You will also create secure and scalable cloud architectures using Azure Resource Manager, CloudFormation templates, and Chef, as well as lead the shift from traditional approaches through overlay networks and dynamic tunnels over the internet to deprecate our dependency on MPLS.
- As the Security Engineering intern (Houston-Based Only), you will focus on security systems development by manipulating and managing large datasets, complex scripting activities, and systems management.

Minimum Requirements
• Must have cumulative and major GPA of 3.2 or higher
• BP will not support US Immigration sponsorship for intern, full-time or long-term employment
• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree
