Job Description
PCI is looking to hire an engineer or scientist with strong marketing skills and a passion for hardware technology to join our growing technology company. The person in this position will learn how to market and sell technologies at a variety of early to late development stages, prior to product introduction. We are looking for a high potential individual who understands marketing, uses a hands-on approach and brings demonstrated performance, insight, high productivity and a personal drive to excellence. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a business development manager able to identify opportunities and sell advanced technology.
Responsibilities Include:
- Support the President and the Director of Marketing & Business Development in business development, proposal, planning, and organizational efforts
- Assist in identification and persuasive marketing of new business development opportunities
- Assist in identification and development of new government R&D awards
- Assist in preparation of winning government and commercial proposals
- Conduct insightful and productive market research
- Develop informative and persuasive technology marketing materials and proposals
- Provide effective public relations/image support, including press releases, articles and advanced concepts
Desired Skills:
- BS or MS Degree in engineering or science required; minor in marketing/business or an MBA a plus.
- 3-5+ years’ experience in an industrial setting
- Industrial technology, business-to-business and business-to-government sales comprehension
- Expert level of computer skills, including strong Internet search, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, graphics skills (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat) and website programming a plus
- Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills -- Strong English a must; good math skills
