DMPK Senior Scientist
Essential Responsibilities
- Be a major contributor to DMPK strategy in drug discovery and development process by acting as a DMPK representative/expert on interdisciplinary project teams, including biology, medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and pharmaceutics groups.
- Identify critical ADME/PK-related issues; collaborate with cross-functional drug discovery teams to support lead optimization and development.
- Collaborate with preclinical pharmacology and toxicology groups to design PK/PD/efficacy studies.
- Apply modeling and simulation to predict human PK profiles and project efficacious doses in FIH studies.
- Identify and employ new technologies and strategies to address current and future ADME/PK challenges.
- Maintain detailed documentation of procedures and keep internal database up to date.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, or related fields.
- Over 5 years of industry experience in drug discovery and development.
- In-depth knowledge of ADME, pharmacokinetics, and bioanalytical principles.
- Proficiency in PK analysis and modeling using WinNonlin.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong record keeping and data management skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with strong verbal and written communication skills.
