We are currently looking for a Market Analyst III/Sr. for our Houston, TX office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will:
*Provide analysis of market trends in support of the Commercial group and implement improvements in data collection and report generation
*Improve functionality and workflow efficiency of existing models and databases
*Collaborate in research, presentations and special projects
*Maintain, improve and build quantitative models in Excel to forecast and analyze gas fundamentals in support of the 5-year plan
*Research, gather and analyze information on new and existing projects, drilling activity, and decline rates
*General support of the firm's commercial activities and other deliverables including across teams
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Expertise in natural gas market fundamentals, pipeline infrastructure and flow patterns
*Leadership skills and comfort with debate and collaboration with a diverse team
*Expert in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
*Comfortable managing and creating charts, slides and Excel models
*Interest in analytical work and its application in informing commercial decisions
*Enthusiasm for developing a lasting career in the natural gas space
*Bachelor’s degree
*Excellent attention to detail
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*Familiarity with the natural gas industry and markets
*Knowledge of VBA for Excel, Microsoft Access, SQL and advanced quantitative tools such as R and Python
*Master’s degree
*5+ years of industry experience
